Staker, Gautier Office

Applications are now being accepted for a Staker position in the Gautier office. Eligible applicants must be a full-time, active employee of Singing River Electric.

Position Summary: Performs meetings with members in the field and lays out power lines. Draws and enters work orders into the computer. May assists with distributing and overseeing work orders assigned to crews, as needed.

Job Overview:

Secures right-of-way easements as required.

Coordinates construction work with other utilities, highway departments, governmental officials, and developers.

Carries out duties of Journeyman Lineman and Construction Foreman, or other assigned positions as needed.

Actively participates in inspections of work carried out by in-house construction, contract, and service crews, and will complete all necessary documentation of these inspections. Will communicate with a supervisor when repetitive issues are identified and will assist in procedures to correct these issues.

Performs necessary line construction and repair duties to complete crew work assignments as needed.
