Marketing Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marketing Specialist will assist the Public Relations and Marketing Department through marketing efforts that attract and retain Singing River Connect (SRC) subscribers and promote Singing River Electric offerings and services while meeting business objectives.


JOB OVERVIEW:

Gathers news and information about SRC to promote sales through effective marketing campaigns.

Leverages analytics on fiber feeders and data from Salesforce/Engagement Cloud reporting and dashboard to monitor the stability of take rates to identify critical areas for subscriber growth and retainability.

Gathers data and metrics impacting churn rates to create marketing campaigns used to attract and retain subscribers while meeting revenue goals.

Responsible for making recommendations to Public Relations & Marketing Manager on marketing efforts as it relates to satisfying long-term and short-term market forecasting.

Implements effective marketing campaigns designed to keep members, subscribers and the public aware of programs, products, and services, and enhance business objectives.

Designs content that aligns subscribers with managed and bundled services to maximize subscriber experience.

Responsible for content of digital monthly newsletters for current and prospective subscribers.

Collaborates with department manager to write articles about marketing efforts for the Today in Mississippi publication, annual report, and other publications.

Designs and publishes timely SRC graphic content, both digital and printed materials, including but not limited to flyers, brochures, videos, emails, bill statement messages, and graphics, etc.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing, or a business-related field of study, required. Master's level, preferred. Must have 3-5 years or more experience in public relations, marketing, communications, or related field. Proven work experience in digital marketing, including graphic skills. Outstanding written and communication skills are required. Must demonstrate the ability to manage job requirements for effective social media creation, planning and scheduling. Must demonstrate self-motivation. Should be proficient in marketing strategies, WordPress, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, QuarkXpress and Canva. Experience with multi-media, video and social media preferred. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. The ability to prioritize and work independently with minimum supervision is also needed. Must possess strong organizational skills, the ability to pay close attention to detail and take on new tasks and responsibilities as necessary. Be able to thrive in a fast-paced, professional environment. Display motivation and fulfillment in the exciting challenges of a growing company. Must have a valid driver's license.
