IT Support Specialist, Lucedale Office

POSITION SUMMARY: Supports cooperative employees with questions and issues on different software packages.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a 2-year degree in a related field.

Must have prior experience with SRE applications and an understanding of integration between the systems.

Must have knowledge of operational procedures of the various departments within the Cooperative.

Must have technical skills necessary to assist users with PCs, software and peripheral equipment.

Must have the ability to install, maintain and repair, program, and operate a computer and its various software and peripheral equipment. This can include but not limited to: CIS, Cash Register, Work Management, AppSuite, SmartHub, Document Vault, IVR, Aclara AMI systems and Remittance systems.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Serve as point of contact for matters related to the efficiency and functionality of software packages required to support SR Electric and Connect employees.

Stay abreast of new technology and industry standards related to the needs to sustain our industry. Explores and evaluates new technologies which may benefit our operations.

Research software updates, schedule updates, and train personnel, when necessary, on new software releases/versions.

Engage with other personnel as directed, on topics related to prepay, service order workflows, SmartHub Order Management (SHOM), trouble tickets, scheduler perspectives, field personnel notification setup, and Duo 2FA implementation.

Responsible for monitoring the substations communications to ensure that readings are functioning properly. Work with other department personnel to ensure issues are resolved.
